WANTED: EXPERIENCED AND LOVING CAT OWNERS
Chester is a healthy cat with a good disposition, but he craves more attention than we can give him. He needs to live with people who are home most of the day and have the time to spend with him.
Chester is a male (neutered) short-hair tabby, who turned five on January 14. We've had him since August 2013. He's been seen regularly by Dr. Jan Whitman, our veterinarian, and has had all required vaccinations, as well as dental work. We've kept him inside so as not to expose him to fleas, ticks, etc. He has his front claws (we consider it cruel and inhumane to have a cat declawed).
He loves chasing small toys and playing with strings and shoelaces. If he's fired up, he'll jump in the air to chase a toy. He is very affectionate and will cuddle with us in the morning and evening. He can get a little rambunctious at times, and becomes insistent if he feels he isn't getting enough attention or as much food as he wants (we try to control his weight by making sure he doesn't overeat).
Chester is a people cat and will be a strong presence in his owners' lives. He should live with people who have owned cats before and are accustomed to dealing with the needs and behaviors of cats.
