Hi! My name is Geniveve! I was found by Feline Rescue at Animal Control where I had been separated from my baby, Amelie. I am a very good momma and I love her very much so I was so happy to hear that Feline Rescue would make sure we were adopted together, as a bonded pair, and that we would be spending the rest of our lives together!
I am a calm, gentle and loving cat who loves being pet and cuddled but will also respect your space if you are busy doing something! My foster mom says I’m very polite- I even wait calmly during meal times! I love kids and I warm up pretty fast to other pets! My hobbies include looking out windows, hanging out in the kitchen while people cook, letting my baby Amelie “nurse” off of me (even though I havent had milk in about 2 months!) and of course being loved on by humans!
Amelie is definitely more shy than I am. She takes a while to warm up to humans but she is making lots of progress every day and is easily distracted from her shyness if you play with her! And let me tell you- watching her play is adorable and hilarious because she has mild Cerabellar Hypoplasia so she weebles and wobbles about! CH is a neurological disorder that effects a cats fine motor skills, coordination and balance. CH cats live totally normal, long, happy and healthy lives! It does not require extra vet care, get worse with age, cause them any pain and it cannot spread to other animals or people. There are some things you can do to help CH kitties like having rugs or carpet so they have more traction or having a low entry litter box with high sides but Amelie’s CH is mild so she is doing just great with out anything special!
Thank you for reading about us! We cannot wait to meet you and be a part of your family!
