Just Discovered That I'm Lovely and Beautiful

“Hello and welcome to my suite! I am lovely and beautiful Molly, and I’ve just found out how lovely and beautiful I am. If you were here 3 months ago when I first arrived, I might have hissed you – stared at you with big eyes and hissed. I apologize. Good people have been sitting with me and talking to me, and I've been listening.”

“One morning I woke up, and I said to myself, ‘Miss Molly, what if you just spoke right up to the next person who walks in and said, “Hi, I’m Molly, and I like you!”’ I tried it – and it worked. The new, improved Molly is here, and she is looking for you – her forever people.”

“I’m no longer scared and embarrassed and ashamed. I am lovely and beautiful with lush, long black fur and emerald eyes that may glow in the dark. I am soft, and I’ve discovered how wonderful it is to be petted by a good person. I am proud to be Molly!”

“I will greet you when you arrive and reach my leg and paw out in your direction. I might give you a dear, dear Molly squeak! And I might purr. Oh, yes, Molly has learned to purr. Molly has become a Cat. I’m special, and I’m kind. I’m a little black lady with of bit of white on my chest and feet – just enough that you’ll be able to see me in the dark.”

“I think I’d like to live with a little older lady or, maybe, an older man, kind of like me, in a kind older house with lots of books and lacy things and pillows and window sills. I’d like this man or lady to belong to me – my best person – and I think I’d even like to sit in her lap – or his. And purr. And maybe squeak. If you are Molly’s person – someone who loves soft black lady cats with sparkling green eyes, please tuck $120 in your pocket, and stop over to Feline Rescue. Just say, ‘I am Molly’s special person, and I’ve come to take her to her forever home.’”
