I call myself Henry the Peach Dandelion, because my name is Henry, my color is Peach, and Dandelion means “tooth of the lion” – and I do have teeth and look quite like a lion. Please greet me, “Hello, hello, Henry the Peach Dandelion!” I will greet you back, “Meaw? Meaww?” I will tuck my head down and ask for a good and gentle jowl rub. Talk to me! Talk to me! I am Henry!

 

Folks say I have the style of a goodoleboy, and I guess that’s true. But I’m not actually very “ole”. It’s just that I’m laid back, friendly, easy going – and I’ve got one bent ear – the hallmark of any goodoleboy with a pickup truck – or without one. I must have lost my truck. All I seem to have is one well-chewed plaid mouse. Hey, it’s not chewing tobacco – just a chewed mouse.

 

Folks say also that I’m a good therapist. “Tell me your troubles, talk to me, feel better soon, you will. Keep giving me those jowl rubs, and feel yourself relax. Relax more, center, center. Scratch Henry’s chin. Feel Henry’s soothing purr.” Henry needs some of those initials: Henry the Peach Dandelion, LICSW, LMFT, LCP. Oh, why not? Henry the Peach Dandelion, Ph.D. Perhaps I am also a magic lamp; rub my jowls and make a wish. Ooops! You’ve turned my mouse into a genie!

 

Henry has cowboy in his soul, too. Want to sing cowboy songs with me? “Home, home on the range, where the deer and the antelope play….” “Oh, give me a home where the buffalo don’t roam ‘cause buffalo are bigger than me….” Hear that? Home! Home!! Henry asks if he might join you in your home. Come to think of it, deer and antelope are bigger than me, too. Henry asks for your home – peace, quiet, serenity will appear. Henry will bring it. Pardon me while I wash my face, so I can be just spiffy when we go home. $100 covers my bill at this hotel; I’m ready to check out – and check in with you! Meaw!
