“You know what the song says, ‘Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.’ It’s true – listen, ‘Make up your mind to have no regrets, Recline yourself, resign yourself, you're through, I always get what I aim for And your heart'n soul is what I came for.’ I’m young and lithe and agile with, so my foster family said, a dancer’s body.”

“Know what else they said? That I can run and jump and climb like no other cat they’ve seen. They told this story: ‘She jumped halfway across the room onto the cat stand for a toy and very calmly put it in her mouth as the stand toppled to the floor.’ Of course. Lola is focused. She wanted the toy, and she got it. Never mind the stand. Now, I am aiming for you!”

“Are you young and wild and full of sass? Do you like to play? Do you, maybe, already have another cat who likes to play? Do you like to laugh? Lola promises to make you laugh. Lola has not forgotten that, in ancient Egypt, people worshipped her. No, not cats – Lola! The one and only Lola! Heeyaaah! Time to fly across the room and stun these other snipes! Lola is a Super Snipe! Hiyaah!”

“More about me! It’s all about me. Lola is sleek. Lola has ocelot spots. I am not an ocelot, but I have commandeered some spots for my coat. I also have a very perfect scarab pattern on the top of my head. That is why the Egyptians worshipped me. If you are worthy, you may scratch gently upon my scarab head, and I will purr for you.”

“A couple of closing notes before I must fly across the room again: I’m smart. I’m a quick study. Once I figure it out, it’s done – and it’s mine. I’m told I was found in the park. True. What the people who found me didn’t know is that I was on my way to the zoo to steal the lions’ food. They’ve got good stuff! Oh, yes, if you’re ready to play and be owned by Lola, please bring $120. I’m more than worth it! Much more than worth it. Hiyaah!”
