“OK, I'll let you talk to me. I might even talk back. I've gotten very friendly since I came to Feline Rescue. Here’s my story: as you can see, I'm still a young guy, a young teenager, just barely past kitten days. I am a Survivor. When one is a Cat, especially a young cat, Survival is not a TV Show. It’s real life – not a reality game. In Survival, it’s fight or flight. It’s hiss first and ask questions later. That’s what I learned, along with some other young folks who were left here – in a box!”

“So please understand that, in my little cat heart and soul, I'm a good guy. I used to be much more inclined to flight than to fight. But I've recently found out that neither fleeing nor fighting is necessary. Sometimes, happiness is playing and sleeping. If you pet me, I'd like it a lot. I do confess that I still like to know that somewhere nearby is a safe corner.

"I've been learning so many new things here at Feline Rescue. People are friendly. People like me. And people bring me food! Good, tasty food that I don’t have to chomp and peel. Wow! This is different. I'm not feral, by any means. It's just that, in the several short months I've been alive, I hadn't before met safe people that I could trust. But I now know it's possible, and that’s another Wow!”

“Two wide little boy cat eyes, watching you, looking at you, learning you, thinking about you. Thinking about if you might have a warm, cozy friendly place where I could join you and spend the winter – and the spring – and next summer – and….Wow!

Oh, my, I almost forgot to introduce myself! I am Tippy. I am a classic grey-brown tabby. I am ready to chase crinkle balls.  I am ready to be a free-spirited cat. Pet me. Maybe you could cuddle me. I am ready to trust my people – it’s going to happen. A better life, yes. No more Survivor, no. $120 takes me home with you. We’re going to be happy together, yes!”

PS: If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my secretary at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
