Lovey, Lovey, Sweet as Candy

“Oh, let me love on you! Let me roll on your arm and nuzzle your hand and look you from under my long eyelashes and do a little purring. I hope I’m searching for love in the right place! I had people to love, and they loved me back. But something happened – I think they got sick. They still loved me, but they couldn’t take good care of me any more. So here I am, offering my gentle, kind grey and white self to someone who likes serious cat love. It’s what I offer!”

“Lindt? For the candy company, of course. Because I’m at least as sweet as candy, maybe sweeter. I’m charming and friendly. I have a cute as a button black nose. I’m a guy, only about 3 years old, still have much to learn and much to do, and I would just love to do it with you. What do you think?”

“Oh, about the hair. Yes, I have a lot of it. I know that, when I roll around showing off how much I love you, I get lots of static in my hair. Winter is Bad Hair Season for a fluffy, lovey fellow. It’s kinda cute, though. You could use that brush to civilize me. Or you could let me chew on it, get me some cerise and purple extensions, a guitar, a girl who can sing, and I’ll be a grunge band and I have Good Hair for that!”

“Say, young lady – yes, you with the over-sized ears and the cute torbie bounce? Do you sing? ‘Waaak! Waaa!’ OK – I guess not. Maybe the humans should just go ahead and brush my hair out for me.”

“May I love on you some more? As you can see, I tried loving on my sock monkey – but the static stuck him on my side. Who’ll believe how sweet and sensible I am with a sock monkey stuck to my hair? Let me love on human – no shocks, I promise.”

“I think I’m in the right place! I think you’re the right people! How about $120, lots of love and no grunge band. I’m Lindt – gentle, loving, kind, and sweet as candy, maybe sweeter.”
