An Original - Comfortable in His Own Fur

“Are you looking for an original? A stunning cat – one who just makes you smile because he’s just fascinating to see? A well-built, rather large – but not too large – fellow? A guy cat who really likes people and is comfortable in his own fur? Here I am? The name is Ringo – more like Johnny Ringo than Ringo Starr, if only because there’s not much that’s English about me. Also I prefer chasing toys to playing drums, although I suppose I could.”

“Hello, hello! Yes, you’re right – I’m just the color of a milk chocolate truffle, one with swirly patterns on top and a stripe or two of marzipan. No, I’m not edible, but if I remind you to stop over to the chocolate shop around the corner, that would be fine! Very fine – but bring me a box of tuna fudge, please.”

“Hello, hello! You’re a person, and you’re sitting in my suite. Fantastic! I’m coming right down to greet you, to give you loving, claiming leg rubs, let you know I’m your kind of guy. Ringo, the Chocolate Truffle, needs to sit in your lap. C’mon, now, pet me. Am I soft or what? Am I nice? Oh, I am nice. I chirp. I trill. I dance around and ask for toys. Please play with me – it’s been just too quiet lately.”

“I love toys, especially ones that clatter and roll. I love people – even if they don’t clatter and roll. No, I’m not sure how old I am – not very, I don’t think – but all full-grown – and just totally original. Some people stop in and say they just want to study my swirled chocolate tabbyish design. I’m so interesting that, sometimes, I even study myself!

“Hello, hello! I am Ringo. I know who I am – a fine and fantastic guy cat. Oh, and don’t miss my light blue eyes. I’m original. I’m comfortable in my own fur – that means I’m not carrying baggage, just great cat essence. And, better yet, you may take to my forever home for just $120. True.
