Soft, Gentle, Glad to Have Short Hair

“Hello, there. Please know that I’m friendly and kind, but that, for right now, I’d like to stay surrounded by my cat-sized box and just talk to you with my warm green cat woman eyes. I am Kia. I am soft and gentle and about 4 or 5 years old. Do you feel my warm heart beaming out for you from these green eyes? Of course you may pet my striped head, of course!”

“My forever person loved and cherished me and my daughter Bella Donna. She rescued me from the wild outdoors a few years back. She was wonderfully sweet and kind. And then she crossed the Rainbow bridge. I know all the kitties on the other side are loving her as I did. Now I must find a new forever person on this side. Would you like to be my new person? Maybe even the forever person for me and my daughter Bella Donna?”

“People tell me that I’m very pretty and easy to love. Bella Donna is a muted grey tabby. I, while also a tabby, have seriously dark stripes, high relief marks on my soft grey palette. I can purr, and I can sit in laps. I can talk to people and would very much like to talk with people again. I even lived with a dog, a Pomeranian, no bigger than me. I remember being kind to this dog, even though she was a dog. I even once tried to wash her face, but Pomeranian fur is just too long. Cats, domestic short hair cats – just like me – the best!

“Could I charm you, with my hypnotic eyes, into offering me the rest of my life in your warm, cozy life? I’ll come out of my cat-sized box, I promise. I’ll sit on top of it, sit behind it, hide munchies in it, as soon as I know I have a bigger home. How about me? How about Kia? $120 for my kitten heart and tiger soul.
