“Hello. I am Tux T., not T.Rex, just about as far from T.Rex as I could be. I’m a handsome young man, properly dressed in my tuxedo and imagining that I am going to a grand royal ball to dance with fluffy, demure, beautiful princesses. I used to be scared. Have you ever been out with your happy, two-legged friends, and they are all jumping in the swimming pool, splashing around, having a fun, fun time? And you wanted nothing more than to join them and have a cool, wet time, too? But you just couldn’t? Couldn’t make your feet pick up and move you into that water? Just couldn’t?”

“That’s how Tux T. used to feel. My brother, Zane Grey, feared nothing. He sang and danced and got himself adopted to his forever home with some really nice people. I know what I need to do. But my mom, Mama Lu, is here, and my other brother, Licorice. Then some other cats joined us. And said, 'What are you scaredy cats scared of?' "Why', we said, 'the same thing every other being is afraid of – the unknown and predators.'

"Clearly, no predators here, so it’s The Unknown, The Mighty Unknown. I think I know how to solve this problem. Let’s become Known to each other. If I Know you, and you Know me, then nothing will be Unknown, and there will be nothing to be afraid of. So, one day, Licorice and I came out and started rolling around and having a great old time. See our picture together; we were just getting ready to roll. I'm the guy with the white chin.”

“I hope you understand. I am a handsome young man. Someday, I’d like to sit in a people lap. I’m told I have soft fur, good for petting. Take a chance. Come visit me. Bring $120 when you do. Find out that I am Tux T., not T.Rex – and I will find out that you’re not T.Rex, either. And you just might want to put an extra $120 in your pocket in case you decide you'd like to adopt Licorice, too! You could, you know....”
