“Hi, hi, miu, miu, and hello! I’m called Petunia, but I think of myself more as a Zinnia – bright, strong, no nonsense, more orange than pink or purple. And, oh, yes, I do have imagination! But, wait, that’s not the best of me. Come and take a look – and believe what you see!”
“Ah, you see a young woman, with plenty of kitten spunk and curiosity, and the most exquisite, unique, fashionable coat even I could imagine. White stripes on dark brown fur, dark tail with two white rings, all marbled and marled, a cross between ancient strata and ripple ice cream. Really. Less Petunia, more Rembrandt tulip, I think. Of course, the Facebook human said my back looks like a chipmunk….”
“Aw, just c’mon over here and see me in person, in cat, if you know what I mean. I’m not allowing this human to take pictures of my tail. It’s sacred. You just need to come visit. Guess what? If you do. I’ll let to pet me, if and when I stop moving. Wow! Stuff! Lots of stuff! Toys! Food! Yipe – other Cats! Zeeow, off I go. OK, you can call me Petunia if you want….”
“Zoop! Zeeow! I am curious – what did you expect? I’m a Cat. If she’s not curious, she’s not a Cat. Zoop! Off I go to check out this shelf – good for climbing? Oh, yes, I think so. Zoop! Up I go! I’m cute, charming, friendly, and just downright totally interesting. No humility here – not with this girl. She wants her forever people, and she wants them now. She’d be totally perfect if some human, jealous of her amazing coat, hadn’t chomped her ear. Pretend you don’t see that little glitch. I am beautiful. Zoop!”
“Well, looky here! A scratching ramp! I do scratching ramps, I do, I do. She’s right; stand behind me, and I do look like a big chipmunk scratching away. Not digging a hole. Not burying acorns. Looking for love, looking for fun! $120 wraps up this whole clever package. Zeeow! Zoop!”
