Wants to Have Fun

“Hi! It’s almost Tulip season outside – and it’s certainly Tulip season here at Feline Rescue – because I’m here – and I’m Tulip. I got my name because, last spring, I was tiptoeing through the tulips in my foster mom’s garden, and I had my two kittens with me. We were having so much fun! But she said, ‘Lovelies, it’s going to snow tomorrow. I think you had better come inside with me.’ So we did.”

“My baby boy got himself adopted. But I moved here to the Adoption Center with my baby girl, Emmy. She looks like a grown-up cat now, imagine that. But she’s still my baby. I am, at heart, a baby, too. I am as friendly as friendly can be. I roll over next to you, hoping you’ll pet me. See how cute I am? I squeak. See how cute I sound?”

“Hi, again!! I’m still Tulip. I walk right up to you and put my cute little paws – white ones even – on your leg. Pet my head? Oh, yes, pet my little cat girl head! I am sociable, outgoing. There! I see through that window – another cat going by! Should I invite him in? I could pounce on him! I know I’m a grown woman, but this girl just wants to have fun. I tried pouncing the big buff guy, but he said, ‘Girl, don’t do that!’”

I’m Tulip. Don’t pass up the opportunity to take this early Tulip home. It sure would be nice if you’d take my baby Emmy with us. She’s so smart, but she’s so shy. She needs mom to show the ways of a cat in the real world. I mean, could you – a person – teach her how to wash her toes with her tongue? I’ll bet you can’t even reach your toes with your tongue! Only $120 for the only black and white Tulip in town – and only $220 for black and white Tulip and bright-eyed tabby Emmy, my little girl.”
