“Hello! I’m Willow. I’m quite refined, gentle and well-mannered and very, very grey. I’m somewhat fluffy – but not so fluffy that anyone would mistake me for a bedroom slipper. Not that fluffy. And a slipper would be pink or white or blue fluff – not grey cat girl fluff. I am sweet and charming. I offer gentle love bites. I taste you. Do you know your hand tastes vaguely of munchies? Cat munchies. You haven’t been eating our munchies, have you?”
“Please notice my well-formed, quite decorative ears. I’m a smart, well-educated young lady. I have my own special bed – it’s pink – rather like slipper pink – and it says ‘Princess’. Princess, how about Princess Willow? If I am a Princess, do I have to wear a tiara? Will it make my ears look big?”
“Sometimes, I imagine myself as a library cat or a bookstore cat. Do you have shelves of books at your house that I could decorate? Maybe read some of them at night when you’re sleeping? I like the smell of books. I like the smell of people. Perhaps I could sit in your lap and read books?”
“I think I’ve traveled a long way from where I was born. People told me, ‘If you go to Minnesota, it’s going to be cold.’ Well, it’s certainly not cold now. I feel heat coming right through the walls and the windows. And it’s not hot cat breath from the guy next door. I know what I know. I’m well-educated and smart. I’m also kind – and maybe a Princess. Not sure about the tiara part.”
“Just in case it gets cold, you’ll want a soft, smart, fluffy young lady to sit in your lap and read books to you. Don’t wait until it gets cold. Bring your $120 and adopt Willow – today! Tomorrow? May I have just one more love bite? Oh, thank you!”
