|
Meet Rosie (Roosevelt)! He is around 2, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Rosie was a stray who was rescued in January from the freezing cold. He had been living in Chaska and looked after for over a year by some angels at a nursing home.
Rosie has been living with us and our three other cats since January. He has turned out to be the sweetest boy ever! He is extremely affectionate, a lover boy, gentle, and playful. We hoped to be able to keep him, but introducing him to our resident cats is proving too much for us to handle (we both work FT too so time is not plentiful, have older cats of our own with health issues, and our house is too small).
Considering the hard times he’s been through, Rosie is in excellent health. He did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Cats with FIV still live long, happy, healthy lives. It just means you should keep Rosie as healthy as possible—keep him inside and feed him a good, healthy diet. Rosie does need dental work done (we would consider contributing toward a dental, but right now our older cats’ health needs are straining our finances).
Rosie will make someone an EXCELLENT companion. He has many good years ahead of him. If you can commit to giving Rosie what he needs, you will be rewarded by this gentle, affectionate little life—he is truly quite special!
