Sweet, Playful, A Bit Shy - Comes With Full Mustache

“Hello – and how do you do? I’m a member of the latest and greatest invasion of black-and-white cats to grace the floors and halls of Feline Rescue. Mom is black-and-white; my wild sisters are black-and-white. And I, Pedro – Spanish for Peter – am the only one with a real mustache. Not a lot of young teenager guys have real mustaches – so I’m proud of mine. (Yes, there’s been an explosion of cats with mustaches and semi-mustaches around here, too.)”

“I’m sweet and playful and rather shy. I like to look at you and study you. I might even give you a hearty sniff. But I’m not coming out in the open where something might grab me until I’m finished studying you – and whatever else is out there. My mom – Edna – and I have the FIV. I suppose I got it from her. But we’re both very healthy and very playful – just keeping our distance from cats without it – and also from anything that might afflict our delicate immune systems.”

“Edna and my sisters – Checkers and Mittens – all came here from our foster family. I learned a lot about myself from our foster humans. They told me I was named for a character in the movie ‘Napoleon Dynamite’. I suppose I should see the movie and find out who I’m supposed to be! They also will tell you that I steal socks! Not sure if I can get them off of your people feet – but give me a chance to try, OK?”

“Let’s see – I’m sweet but shy, charming and cuddly, ready to be petted and even up for belly rubs once I know you. What else? About the black-and-white thing – I’m not just regular black-and-white. I have spotted legs – like a Dalmatian dog – like a firehouse dog – but I’m a cat. I really am.”

“I think I would be so pleased – and will keep my mustache and tail and legs well-groomed – if you would come over and adopt me for your very own. Maybe you’d consider adopting Mom and me – together? I’d feel safer with Mom along; I think I would. I understand you’ll need $120 to adopt me and my mustache and my spots – and another $110 to adopt Mom, too. Do give us your best thoughts – I’m Pedro – Mom is Edna.”
