“Bravo! Bravo! An outstanding performance! Ole! Encore! Say it all, and watch this fine, mellow, goodhearted grey tabby perform. The name is Bravo! As in, “Brave”, “Excellent”, “Unsurpassed” and all those things that critics say about talented performers. Am I talented? If you would like to be my people, I will let you decide how talented I am. ‘America’s Got Talent’, so they say, but I think most of it is all wrapped up in this grey tabby guy.”
“I look at you with caring, loving eyes and my fascinating face. It’s not quite like a regular old cat face; it’s mine. It’s Bravo’s face, and I want you to remember me. ‘Remember me, oh, remember me, remember for the rest of your life…’ See, you could take me home. Then you wouldn’t have to remember. You could just see me and pet me and feed me fresh chicken and turkey and watch me perform every day.”
“Watch how long I am. Watch me stretch myself way out across this blanket with my front legs out front and my back legs out back. I am a long fellow – but the name is not Henry. It’s Bravo, and ‘Bravo!’ is what you should say at the end of my performance. Watch how I use part of a leg to snag a passing cat’s attention. ‘What? Who? Me? No, I didn’t snag your tail. Nooo….’
“I can see that you need a kind, mellow, loving long fellow in your life. Did I once sing opera? I’m not nearly so round as Pavarotti. You know what they say, ‘It’s just not over until the fat man sings.’ Does Bravo sing? Bravo can sing. But, mostly, he can love people. He could love you. You could love him. We might be a match made in heaven – or, at least, on stage. Bring your $120; watch gentle Bravo perform. Encore! Encore! Bravo!”
