“Hi, there, I am Caja. I like sitting up high. You can come sit up here with me – just don’t fall down – and don’t tip the shelves over. I am a self-assured tortie woman, but I lost my person. She went over the Rainbow Bridge. I’m hoping to find another person – or two – who will love me and appreciate my tortie love in return.”

“I heard that people aren’t sure how to pronounce my name. I suppose, if you can’t say my name, you won’t ask to adopt me. So here’s my simple lesson: I call myself Ka-zha. I’m not Ka-gha. Nor am I Ka-ha. Caja as Ka-ha is Spanish for “box”. While I do like to sleep in a caja, I am not a Caja. I have decided that my name is Ka-zha. If you can say Ka-zha, you can come to Feline Rescue and ask for me by name. And I will be very happy if you do. What language is Ka-zha? Silly human – there’s only one language around here – Feline – aka Cat. Don’t hesitate – please ask for me!”

“In case you forget, let me tell you more about me. I have a solid bright red spot on top of my head. Only a spot – not my whole head – I am not a pileated woodpecker – just a quiet girl cat. I also have one tan foot and a sweet round face. I nap a lot. Naps are good. Someone who takes good naps is well-centered and well-tuned. I like munchies, and I like to curl up in my caja and pretend I am a meat loaf. It’s a cat thing.”

“I didn’t much like that noisy girl who was living in my suite. I didn’t like seeing her, and I didn’t like hearing her. I may be happier to live with my human(s) and not other cats – at least not that one. I have a lawn mower noise that I make in the direction of cats I don’t like. For you, good human, I will purr and, very occasionally, say ‘Squee!’, a very quiet ‘Squee!’”

“I’m sitting up here awaiting your visit. I am dreaming of warm, new hugs from you. Just come to Feline Rescue – 593 Fairview Ave North – with $120 – and ask for Ka-zha. That’s me, and I am a fine tortie girl! I say I am a friendly loving girl, about 5 years old and I prefer to be the only cat. What would a tortie be with out a little sass? We've got a reputation to keep

If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my human assistant at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
