Do you need endless entertainment? If you do, bring me home with some toys and a friend, and there you have it. I was named after mulberries because they don’t have a very strong taste. When I first arrived at my foster home I was very calm, but that was because I wasn’t feeling too good. Boy, were they wrong. I am the the rambunctious one who LOVES toys. Crinkle toys and catnip puff balls are my favorite. I can get a bit selfish when I’m given a catnip puff ball, though, so my foster caregiver doesn’t recommend that. If you give one to me, I’ll run around the room with one in my mouth, growling - not as much as Huckleberry, though! My siblings think it’s funny and all attack me. That’s not fun. Then my puff ball gets taken away by my foster caregiver. She tells me that we don’t need growly kittens, after all . . .
When I’m all done playing, I will curl up for a nap. Sometimes in a lap, or sometimes in my carrier. Some days when I’m sleepy, but not ready to sleep yet, I’ll hop into your lap for some one-on-one time. I’ll sniff out your face if you’re lying down, and maybe even purr for you. Then, I’ll fall asleep on your legs, or your chest.
I have a fascination with water. I love to swish my paws through the water bowl, perhaps searching for fish. I also love the litter box. When I’m done fishing in the water bowl, I like to run over to the litter box and throw a litter party. Then I will do my Mulberry dance, getting litter all over my paws. My foster caregiver will come over and wash my paws, if she’s there.
I’m also very brave. The third time the vacuum came out in our room, I actually decided to go check it out. I got about a foot away from it, then decided it was too much. I hopped onto the dresser and meowed at my Mama for some comfort. Maybe next time, I’ll actually get close enough to see how it makes so much noise. I couldn’t even hear my own mews! I’d like to learn how to be that loud!
I like people, but I can be a little shy when introduced to new visitors. That doesn’t stop me from playing, though. Just crinkle a crinkle ball and I’ll be by your side in seconds. So, if your life is a bit on the boring side, all you have to do is adopt me! I would love to be adopted with one of my siblings, like Huckleberry or Raspberry, or both, perhaps. Just bring some crinkle toys!
Mulberry is a young kitten and will need to go to a home where there is another young cat or be adopted with one of her siblings (check out Raspberry and Huckleberry) so that she has a playmate. For more information about Mulberry, please call Joan at 651-705-6264.
Mulberry's adoption fee is $135.
