"She Who Removes Water"

“I was a teenage baby mama, and let me tell you, that is not something one should want to be. Six children, all at once, all stripes and fur, and all hungry! But I raised them, and I did it well, and, now, if nobody minds, I would like to have my teenage years in which to do what teenage cats do.”

“I am all eyes, with some stripes and some white fur. I have deep matched stripes on my front legs. I’d prefer not to be as dignified as I might look. I’d like to fly around the room, make little “zoop, zoop” sounds, and then leap. When I’ve leaped up, I’ll leap back down, say “zooop!” again and sail. I love munchies, and I supervise everything that needs to be supervised. I much prefer drinking from faucets, not water bowls, and I don’t care if my head gets wet! ‘Zooop!’ Off I go again!”

“Do pay some attention to my name – Tawret. Tawret was an Egyptian Goddess of childbirth and fertility. I guess someone with six children in her first year certainly got that right! Oh, dear!  But the Egyptians also called me ‘She Who Removes Water,’ ‘Mistress of Pure Water,’ and ‘Lady of the Birth House.’ Just put me in a sink and turn on the faucet, and see how much pure water I remove! Wheee! Zooop!”

“I love people. I especially love people who want to play with me. I’m sure I can keep you amused and entertained. I am not bashful nor slow-moving. Yes, I said naughty cat words to that big Guy Cat. He looked at me funny. Yes, I know he’s 3 times my size – do I care? No, I am Tawret. I am a Goddess. ‘Szahhh, big dude,’ I am Tawret.”

“People, the friendly fearless goddess with the large eyes has visited the vet and will not be a teenage baby mama ever again. Instead, she wants to be a teenager – at your place – with you – forever. Please bring $120 – to help pay the water bill – Zoooop!”
