Saxony and her siblings were left overnight in a carrier outside of our shelter. Who knows what happened prior to that day but Saxony did not think humans could be trusted. She was quite leery of people, of attention. But her brother Berber gushed about how much he loved being petted and having his nose kisses, so much so that Saxony decided she had to try it for herself. He was right! Humans bring joy and love and kindness. She loves to be petted! Saxony has learned to quietly approach her caregiver and sit beside her waiting to be petted. When her caregiver turns her attention towards her, Saxony meows softly until she gets petted. 

 

Saxony is an incredibly mellow cat. She has some toys she likes to play with but she prefers to spend her days looking quietly outside or curled up in her bed (or, as she has recently learned, on her caregiver's lap).

 

She would love to be adopted with her brother Berber and sister Frieze. If you're looking for a pair only, Saxony pairs quite nicely with her foster friend Thelma.  Saxony needs to either go home with her brother and sister or her friend Thelma.
