Ah, the exquisite face, the delicate ears, the well-turned symmetry of an aristocrat - that would be me, Anna. True, I am not a countess nor a duchess, but I am a lady - perhaps a lady with a past, a story, a bit of a mystery. I show well-defined tabby stripes that come together finely with my white shirtwaist. Talk softly to me, and I will offer you my hand - well, my best paw. I will talk softly in return, but always softly. We aristocrats do not shriek or squawk, and I am sorry to say that there are a few folks here who do those things. Quite uncouth.

Oh, my. All I ever wanted was love. To love and be loved. Such a simple thing, and yet....Perhaps I was named for Anna Karenina who also sought love but, alas, secured only fleeting passion. Yes, I do rather feel her pain and sadness because I once had a home and love. Then it all changed. But I say I am more Scarlett O'Hara than Anna Karenina. I say, "Tomorrow is another day." I have noticed that there's a railroad track outside the window - and I have no interest in flinging myself under a train. Only a silly human would do such a thing. A cat knows there is tomorrow.

Come sit by me, and I will sit by you. Tell me your stories; I will tell you mine - well, most of them. My mystery requires a secret or two, don't you think? Bring a brush for my fine longish hair; I am soothed by a brush, aren't you? I will be your lady, your most well-refined lady. To love and be loved - that is all. Please visit me and fall in love. We don't have to be fancy - just fond and kind. $100 takes me to your home. Such a simple thing....
