About Ole

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Rescue ID: Foster_Ole
  • General Color: Orange
Hi!
I was living near a house where a "For Sale" sign appeared and then disappeared. New humans brought loads of stuff into this house, so I went to meet them. But they couldn't add me to their family so they brought me here. I'm a young tyke yet and I am quite handsome - don't you think? I absolutely love to play - just about any game any human or feline can think of. And I am totally loyal to any human who will show me kindness and love. So, I think I am the perfect cat to be a wonderful companion, listener and activities manager!
Somehow during my outside life I have been exposed to the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and on my checkup here I tested positive for it. To me it doesn't mean a thing since I'm a perfectly healthy young guy. To those around me it means that I shouldn't be around FeLV negative cats, just so that they are not exposed to it. I'm told that dogs and humans are not vulnerable to this virus. So I really don't understand what the big deal is. I feel good and energetic, and while some cats at the shelter had 'colds' I never caught one - so you tell me: which is the healthy cat? If you want to learn more about this stuff, here's a link: "The Feline Leukemia Virus " from Cornell Feline Health Center
I would love to be your loyal companion and come live with you - shelter life is ok but it's difficult to keep any sort of exercise program going. I am available for adoption, but I could also be talked into coming to live with you as a foster cat.
When you come to see me make sure you ask for me by name: Ole! (No, I haven't found Lena yet.)
