Mahershala is a petite cat with wide-eyed charm, estimated to be 1-2 years old. She came to Feline Rescue from another shelter where she was scared, but in a home environment, she has come out of her shell and is an absolute love.

Her foster family has never known a cat that is so well-behaved at night, because she will curl up in one spot and only move if disturbed. She likes being petted and getting head scritches, but believes that being kissed on the head or carried around are beneath her dignity. She enjoys catnip-stuffed toys for playing on her own, and wand toys for playing with people.

Mahershala was bullied by other cats when she was first taken in off the streets, so she is timid. She would do well as an only cat or with a cat friend who is easygoing-- a cuddlebuddy, not a friend to play chase with. She is fine with children who can be gentle.

If you're looking for an affectionate cat who is fairly low-maintenance (provided dinner is on time), Mahershala is your girl!
