Hope is not who I am; Hope is what I have. I have hope that you will scratch my ears, scratch my neck, let me nuzzle your hands. I have Hope that you will look at me and fall in love, that you will say, "Oh, what a sweet little girl!" Because that is what I am - a sweet little girl who has vague memories of rather hard times - and who absolutely wants no more of those. Oh, no - what I want is a warm, safe home where I might curl up in your lap or on your feet - and make you feel as warm and safe as I will feel.

I've been in a foster home for a while, so I've learned that people can be kind and loving. You have no idea how happy that makes me - it gives me, pardon the play, Hope. Hope, of course, in turn, gives me Play - which, for me, involves stringy things that I might grab and pull and pretend to taste. If I see you walk in with some stringy things, I'll know you've come to see me. I'll really have Hope then!

Enough? OK - enough. A few more facts about me - beyond the fact that I am just about the sweetest kitty you will ever find anywhere. As I noted, I remember some hard times. I don't think about them, but, alas, I did pick up the FIV while I was out there. So I need to take care of my immune system and live only with other FIV cats. I have a lot more to tell My People - and I'm hoping you're my people.

A couple more facts: I have tiny dainty little feet - cute feet, too, if I do say so. Little white toes on little black feet. And - I have super white whiskers on my super sweet face. I hate to admit this, but I do rather look like Sister Mary Rose - the kind nun who always comforted scared kindergarten kids - except I've got these white whiskers instead of a wimple. Please appreciate my habit - and my habits - and cuddle me home with you. And one more not so trivial fact about me - I have no tail; makes me look even cuter yet. Please bring me stringy things and Feline Rescue - on my behalf - $100. You'll have Hope when you do.

PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
