Hi, my name is Oscar. I'm a delightful addition to a quiet home. I like to be around my humans in the same room, and I love when they sit down to snuggle and pet me, in fact, I come when they call! I could be petted or brushed for hours! I don't like it when they insist on petting me though- I'd rather go to them and be free to leave. I hide when there are new people in the house, or when there is a lot of loud activity- it makes me nervous and you shouldn't expect to show me off to strangers. I come running for cat treats and corn husks- I love to chew on them, so fresh corn season is my favorite time of year. I like to play with my fake mouse toy and love to chase lasers on the wall. At times I get aggressive when I'm playing, so my humans know to keep my attention focused on a toy. For this reason, I shouldn't be in a home with young children. I'm about 8 years old, up to date on vaccinations, healthy/not on any medications and declawed, which means my new home should commit to keeping me inside only. I do well with dogs and other cats after I've been introduced. I don't do well when I'm alone for longer periods (even with a cat sitter stopping by), so right now I go to my vet's boarding when my humans leave town. I'm the only cat in my home right now, and my vet says that a friend would help me do better at home alone for long periods (I do just fine during the work day). I'm a great companion and hope to meet you soon!
Oscar currently lives with my husband and I - we took him in from a relative who was dealing with health issues (short term stay ended up being long term). We are beginning a family and hoping to find him a home that is a good fit while we still have flexibility on timing. I'd be happy to answer any questions by phone at 763-231-0410 or by e-mail at jm171249@gmail.com. Jennifer
