Let’s talk about Me! After all, what else would there be to talk about? I suppose my childlike cartoon name suggests that I am playful, young, and happy. Those things would be true. Want to play with me? Of course you do – watch me roll over and giggle and grab your paw. Now you’re giggling – that’s the idea. Oh, I can be such an ordinary cat – just a kitten cat – play with toys – could you get me that pink mouse, please? Don’t you think the pink is just stunning with my deep black fur? I wrap my little paws around it – pure art, don’t you think?

Now I need to reveal the truth. You’ve noticed my eyes, haven’t you? Two shades of orange, like sun fire at sunset, complete with white eyeliner – and they clash with the pink mouse, don’t they? My story: I’m rather like Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. Ordinary playful young cat girl by day. Ah, but ancient Egyptian temple goddess by night. My eyes have told my story. I understand that Quan Yin, eternal goddess of the Buddhist world, and Freya, Norse goddess who rides with cats, are here at Feline Rescue, too. A truly blessed place – we have all brought our cosmic wisdom. But I, handmaiden to Bastet, bring songs of the Nile – and sing them quite frequently – as you’ve probably noticed.

Please consider bringing me to your temple – you surely have one, don’t you? By day I will charm you with my catness, play and giggle and sing and chase moving objects. By evening and night I will surround you with wisdom of the ages from all that is true and good and ancient and modern. And I will purr. Forgot to mention that, didn’t I? I purr. Sometimes I even purr while I’m giggling. Let’s go home, OK? Do you suppose you could find some orange DayGlo catnip mice that would match my eyes? The pink really isn’t good. Is that enough about me? I wouldn’t mind more. But, if you’ll just bring my human friends $100, we’ll have plenty of time to jabber.
