I suppose I could be a poem, but I'd much rather be a cat - which is good because a cat is what I am. I've been in the Feline Rescue family for a while, and I'm more than ready to find my real home - with you. Someone found me, abandoned with my babies, struggling to care for them. So I spent some time with my foster people who helped me raise the young ones. They've grown up and found their homes - how about offering me my home - your home?
I am a mellow lady despite all the hardship I've been through. I have an inner strength that gets me through, you'll notice. I'll share it with you if you would like. I love to roll over and look at the nearest person, purr a little, and ask for some soft, serene attention. You may hold me and pet me and hear me purr. And - I might - when we get to know each other - sit in your lap and close my eyes.
I call myself a tortoise torty. I say I look like coffee chocolate ice cream - but I certainly don't taste like it! I wash my own fur, and I do it well - so, despite the blend of misleading colors, please don't lick me! Just hold me, talk to me, read me sonnets, write me sonnets, meditate with me and study my colors.
I don't care much for children - small humans - move too fast, squeal too much. Frankly, except for my own children, I don't care much for other cats, either - move too fast, squeal too much. I'd like some quiet people who will join me in meditating and appreciating life. I appreciate being a sweet cat, and I will so much appreciate my new, real home. Please stop in with $100 and go home with a tortoise torty - me - Sonnet - mellow lady, small non-rhyming poem.
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
