Let's talk about Me - BamBam! After all, what else would there be to talk about? Oh, yes - my quiet, well-mannered brother, BugaLou, who looks just like me - but depends on me to explain life to him. I am playful, young, and happy. Want to play with me? Watch me roll over and giggle and grab your paw. Oh, I can be such an ordinary cat - just a kitten cat - play with toys - could you get me that pink mouse, please? Don't you think the pink is just stunning with my deep black fur?
But here's the truth. You've noticed my eyes, haven't you? Two shades of orange, like sun fire at sunset, complete with white eyeliner - and they clash with the pink mouse. My story - like Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus! Ordinary playful young cat girl by day. Ah, but ancient Egyptian temple goddess by night. My eyes have told my story. I, handmaiden to Bastet, bring songs of the Nile - and sing them quite frequently - as you've probably noticed.
OK - my brother BugaLou - I really do love him, but he's so quiet. All he ever says is, "I am the man in the moon." Now, is that silly or what? Occasionally he says, "I see all from up above. I am contemplating important issues, so please be patient while I finish. I know what needs to be known - and what does not." He does have a wise, round face, so it's probably true.
"Hey, Buga, BugaLou - come out of your corner and talk to
these folks. C'mon - they've got toys for us!"
"Well, now....I suppose I could. I like toys. I could do tricks with them; I'll bet I could."
See? He's really a great guy - my big shy brother. He'd just like some love and encouragement to come out and participate. He's kind, and you can pet him and discover that he's soft. Sometimes, he purrs. Well, of course, I'm soft, and I purr, too. Did you doubt it?
Take us home - that's it - just take us home! We will charm you with catness, play and giggle and sing and chase moving objects. We will surround you with ancient wisdom and tell you about what needs to be known - and what does not. We will purr. Do you suppose you could find some orange DayGlo catnip mice that would match my eyes?
"BamBam, please hush - just one minute!"
"Hey, the guy talks! Woo!"
"Thank you, noisy sister. I would like to bring my round, bright face into your universe. It shall be. I am, I say, the man in the moon. I return to my nap. She shall jabber."
How about it? Just $100 per cat - that's $200 for an ancient goddess with fabulous eyes and the real man in the moon. What more could any human want?
