No more polyps, no more problems! Now that I have your attention, let me tell you my story. For two years I lived in South Minneapolis with a colony of cats being fed by a nice lady. When Feline Rescue took me in to the foster system I was really sick with what everyone thought was a really bad cold – my nose ran almost constantly from my right nostril and nearly every breath I took sounded like a snore. I was really miserable. (My foster mom wants me to point out that even in that state, I did enjoy being petted.) After a couple weeks of being indoors and no improvement in my health, my foster mom took me to the vet. Turns out I had a severely fractured upper canine on the right side, hence the runny nose. We were all hopeful that once the bad tooth was gone my “cold” would get better too. When my foster mom picked me up after the dental a few days later, however, the vet showed her what they pulled out of my airway – a polyp almost as big as a golf ball! No wonder my breathing sounded like snoring! (My foster mom said the polyp was benign so no concerns there.)
All I can say is “wow” … I cannot believe how much better I felt after getting rid of that painful tooth and icky polyp. Over the next few weeks, I totally blossomed. I started eating well again, getting out of my comfy bed for petting and attention, and even playing with toys! I am now great with my foster cat siblings, and also really like my foster mom’s mellow dog -- she seems to enjoy it when I rub up against her! And best of all, I have now become a lap cat. I just LOVE a good lap. I am still cautious around new people, so when I find my own home it may take a little while for me to adjust. If you want a lap cat who just wants to be loved, I am your guy! I am just so happy to be healthy again!
Come visit me in my foster home. I'd love to meet you.
