Hello humans, my name is Darko. I’m a male cat of 2-3 years with short black fur. My life up until now has been pretty rough. I was living outside without shelter for over a year and I heard the humans at Feline Rescue say that I probably wouldn’t have lasted much longer if someone hadn’t saved me this winter. Honestly, I think the only thing that got me through it was my friend Dino Two. We’d find decks and porches to hide under and huddle together to stay warm. As hard as it was, we had each other and now we both have a shot at a better life.

I know I look a little scared and raggedy right now, but I’m hoping the right family will see past that to the cat I could be once I’m used to being warm, safe, and fed. I might seem a little hesitant when a new person walks in, but once I see that they don’t mean me any harm, I truly enjoy being petted and loved on. Once I get used to you, if you listen carefully, you might even hear me purr a little. I need a family that will be a little patient until I learn to trust them and give me a lot of love to help me forget the hard years. If you have room in your heart for a cat who wants very badly to come home for good, I hope you’ll come visit me in person! I need to find a home with my buddy Dino Two.
