Whoohoo! It's finally my turn to meet all the humans!  My name is Honshu and I am really excited to get to say hello.  I am a 5 year old female cat with almost all black short fur.  There is a small patch of white fur on my chest which I like to think gives me a little extra flair.  I've spent some time wandering in my early youth, but one day I decided it was time to settle down and find a forever home where I'd have a real family to love.  Now that I'm here at the Adoption Center, I just know the right person will walk through my door any day now!

I'm usually a quiet cat who enjoys finding comfy spots in corners and shelves to sleep.  I like a peaceful environment for the most part, but I do have a bit of a sassy streak in me.  Find the right toy and you can watch me do a mad dash across the floor, chasing and pouncing until I've captured my "prey." I am a cat with simple tastes.  No need for jeweled collars or satin pillows here, though I wouldn't say no to a blanket or the occassional treat if you've got them.  I have quite an affectionate side for people who take the time to sit with me  and let me get used to them.  There's truly nothing better than settling in for a good nap with a friendly human next to you rubbing your head while your drift off to sleep.  Unfortunately, there's only one Honshu, so if you want to be that human for me, you should come down soon and let me check you out!
