Welcome to my world. I am pleased to meet you. Yes, I am a lady – a mellow dignified lady, more 18th century than 21st, more American than European, more Virginia than New England. I am gracious yet most approachable. I am never stern. I am Sarah. I walk softly, with almost aristocratic carriage, but I wear no jewels. I need no further jewels beyond my light green eyes that glow with opaline fire. Quite true – look at my kind face – see the singing eyes of this lady’s grey face.

Come walk with me. I am young, but I have seen enough of the world. I wish for a home – a tapestry cushion on a large chair with carved legs upon which I might sit. It is what I see in my homeseeking mind. I also see a person petting me, stroking my grey fur, calling me, “Sarah, Sarah,” and eliciting my best purring and contentment. Sad but true – in my journey through homelessness – I acquired somewhere the FeLV. I must now forever live indoors and be careful with myself. And I must not live with cats more fortunate than I. Still, I am lively, kind, most loving, quite healthy, and certainly not in need of a fainting couch.

I, Sarah, am a joyful young lady. I show only happiness when people spend time with me. Love me – I love you back – I am that kind of lady. Come walk with me. When we are through walking, I will sit with dignity and gently knead my lady basket bed to show you my joy and happiness. I am ready to go home with you and share myself, my kindness, my jewel eyes, and warm cat hugs. I have them in my heart. Please, if you would, cover my $100 here at this inn, and take me home to love and be loved. Your lady awaits.
