Hello humans!  I am Kernel the cat and I'm so excited to meet you!  I am a 1 year old female with entirely black fur and a small black spot on my chest.  I was on my own before I found my way here, so being at the Adoption Center where I can meet friendly people and fun cats has been amazing.  I've been enjoying all the attention and playmates, but I'm pretty eager to find just the right humans to go home with.  How about if I describe my perfect home and you let me know if it sounds anything like yours?  

I'd like a home with at least one human to be my family.  I'd love it if my human would play a lot with me.  I do like to run and chase when there is someone to roll toys or dangle a wand toy for me to play with. I also spend a good bit of time snoozing (you know, 'cuz I'm a cat) and it would be great if someone would keep me company every once in a while.  The humans at the Adoption Center have been showing me just how comfy it can be to snuggle up to someone and I find the quality of my naps improve exponentially when there is someone there to scratch around my ears and neck.  Aside from that kind of little stuff, I'd just like someone I can count on and bond with.  It's not easy for a young kitty to be on her own and I really think I'd make a rocking sidekick if given the chance!  If you are looking for a fun and young cat, I hope you'll come by and get to know me.
