The colors of spring with a sprinkling of fall - that would be me. A gentle, quiet pastel tortoise kitty - mostly shades of grey with a few dashes of peach, pink, and orange. I'm a small woman with a big heart. I know I'm a cat, and I am proud to be a cat. What else, goodness, would a person want to be? Cat needs a good scratching post to work her claws. Cat needs toys - toys that crinkle, toys that jingle, and especially toys with feathers. Cat needs people - kind people with warm laps. Exercise, a place to sit, a place to dream, good food, a simple life - how could I not be a cat?
I'm young enough to play with you - and old enough to have opinions. These are my opinions: 1) A good cat, which I am, expects to be appreciated. Not revered, not worshipped - appreciated. Also loved - very loved; 2) Old-fashioned - like my name - is preferable to newfangled, also preferable to ditzy. In other words, I probably won't be text-messaging anytime soon; 3) Cuddling is good; lap-sitting is extraordinary; 4) Dignified peace is better than Yeehaw war. (Cowboy is down the hall if you're looking for Yeehaw....)
I'd like to get to know you very well - to sniff and purr about you. I may seem reserved, but listen: you'll hear me purring. I'm not ready to be writing memoirs, but, on the other hand, I've now had enough excitement and change in my life. I'd like a little bit less of both, please, please. Yet I'm young enough to let my hair down and go after those noisy, feathery toys. I'll understand when you giggle at me, and I'll come and sit in your lap. I encourage you to brush my hair; brushing makes me truly beautiful, you'll see. Just $100 - and this thoughtful, cuddly lady goes home with you. Sorry - brush not included; peachy cat love is.
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
