Do I look like an online 'zine to you? Of course not. My name is about my color - slate grey - very simple - nothing subtle or meaningful. I prefer hanging out with people and eating food to fussing about on the net. Not that the net isn't good for some things - like ordering up late night snacks of lab rat and pepperoni pizza and such. But this solid young fellow prefers direct cat-to-people interaction.

Sorry, you won't find me on Facebook. You'll have to bring your real self here to Feline Rescue to find me. Can't even call me on your cell phone because I lost mine while attempting to escape animal control - which I didn't - which is how I got here - which is actually good because I do not care to be called a "stray" any more. I would like, please, to be called "Slate - our cat. Slate - our wonderful cat."

Here's a little secret, too. When those animal controllers aren't listening, sometimes I call myself "Wolfie". Take a look at my wise, endearing, enduring face. I've checked in mirrors, and I do think I have Wolfness. Don't you? What I surely don't have is wolf howling. I am quiet, and for a wolf, I'm downright darn sweet. I do wolf down food, but that's because I spent time not being sure if or when I could get more. Take me home, and I'll be secure about food once more. And I'll put my Wolfie face up at the window if anything or anyone unfriendly shows up.

In the meantime, I'd really go for some people who give good jowl rubs and chin scratches. Would you? You would? Zowie! For you, I will order plain pepperoni, hold the lab rats, and I will clean up the crusts, too. I am Slate, longish but well-groomed hair, Wolfish grin, and your very soon very own cat. $100 to cover the cost of the food I've wolfed - and my DSL line - and off we go! Zowie!
