About Lentil & Lima | |
|
|
“Hi, hello, and greetings! I am Lima, and I’ll be doing most of the talking. Lentil is my sister, but I call her The Watcher because – she Watches. She looks just like me – all black, very black – but with big, big eyes that Watch, usually from some cozy corner. We’re both very soft, about 3 years old, and – yes – we know that folks around here call us The Bean Girls. We’re glad that we’re not named Soy and Kidney.”
“We’ve had much change in our lives, so we’ve learned to be cautious, to check people, things, and other critters well before we friend you. Lentil watches as much as she does because I, Lima, admit that I do like to put on a show. I’m hoping that she’ll eventually become my co-star, and we’ll swing together on a purple trapeze. Wouldn’t that be something?”
“For now, I shall show off – show off what you might expect to see if you adopt us – Hint: I hope you will. First, I shall do my somersault – and stay upside down. Do you know how funny looking you are from upside down? (giggle, giggle….) See, I have this safe box up here in our bunk bed. I used to stay in my safe box all the time. Now, I just roll out of it, roll back in, roll back out and giggle at the silly humans.”
“My favorite feature – highlight of my performance! See this fabulous tropical bird? Feathers of many colors? I caught her, caught her all by myself. No! Of course I won’t hurt her. I’m much too nice! I just like to play with her. Watch! Some day Lentil will join me, and she and I and our bird will all swing on the trapeze.”
“We are real sisters and would like to be together forever with our forever people. Might I persuade you to adopt two Beautiful Black Bean Girls? Pet me – see how soft I am. Pet me – hear me purr. Lentil purrs, too, when she thinks no one is listening. The Trapeze Artist and the Watcher – forever yours, forever Beans - $230 for our sisterly team. Come play with us! Maybe you’ll even learn how to tell us apart – we can’t!”
If you'd like to know more about us, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet us or leave a message for our secretary at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
