What? Who, me? Was I poking paws with the cute girl upstairs? Maybe. After all, I am a Guy, a Dude - and she is cute. But I will certainly stop playing footsie to talk to you - because you look like one of those two-legged critters who bring food. Jake likes two-leggeds with food. Jake even likes two-leggeds without food. Jake shows off his vocabulary - beckoning meows, baritone trills, trills with purrs - every word I can think of because I'm not sure which word means "food" nor which word means "attention" - and I would like both, please, whenever possible.
Jake, that's me! I'm a long, lean, purring machine - built like a basketball player - and better at the game than the Timberwolves, from what I hear. Maybe I'd rather be a wide receiver - like Sidney Rice. What? My hair isn't long enough? I could work on that. I am white and tabby. I'm a long, lean, exploring machine. What's beyond that door? What's in there? Don't want to miss anything good.
Jake, that's me! I like people! Yes, people - you know - two-leggeds. They know where the food is, and a cat can sit on them and climb on them and talk to them and tell them funny stories. Want to hear some? I'm a long, lean sporty machine, and my exploring vocation led me straight into animal control. I charmed them. I purred for them. I played football and basketball and soccer with them. I told them, "Jake needs people! Jake needs a home! Jake lost his home." No, I don't know how I lost it. Maybe it was raptured - or taken by aliens.
Jake, that's me! Want to go home with you. Put on your best cross-trainers, and let's do some sports together. See what a Guy I am? Jake is The Dude. Jake likes hugs. Jake likes crunchies. Jake confesses. He likes the cute girl upstairs. Come to think of it, there isn't much he doesn't like. He especially likes you. He's going to love you forever as soon as you stop by with your $100 and invite him home. Come on, two-leggeds, what are you waiting for? Jake is here - your long, lean, loving Guy Machine! Let's play some footsie!
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
