Let's get this straight: despite the name and the size, I am not a dog. Not even close. I am a Cat. No, a CAT. No, a CAT!! I am a Big Guy, and I am proud of it. Fifteen pounds - so they tell me. And with the most luxurious thick mostly black, occasionally white, fur you will find anywhere. I am told that there was recently a cat here named "Little Guy" who was definitely not little. But he cheated. He had long fur. Mine is short. What you see is all Cat - and you are just going to love living with me.

You are going to be as proud to live with me as I am to be me. You will say to your friends, "And, this - this is my Cat. His traveling name is Spot. He hasn't told me his real name yet, but he says he will soon." I like people! Did you notice that, as soon as I saw you, I started to sing? I called you right over here to greet me, didn't I? "What? You didn't realize that was song? You thought it was oratory? You think I'm running for office? You know - that's not a bad idea. I certainly can speechify. Stephen Douglas, William Jennings Bryan...Come to think of it, Bryan was about my size...."

Your life needs a Serious Cat in it - I can tell. Please pet me, scratch my chin.  Mmm - good work! I think you might even pick me up. No, you won't hurt your back; I just look like you might. Bury your fingers in this fur. I heard a story that a carpet company was fined for deceptive advertising - claimed its products were as deep and soft as my fur. It lied. Only my fur is my fur. Only my Spot is your Spot. You'll have so much Cat for your little $100. You'll be so proud. I will be so proud. Let's get going on my campaign - what do you think - Governor, maybe? I am Spot, at the moment. You need me in your life. You do.
