Don’t let the name mislead you. I am not a little freckled boy on a scooter with a popsicle. I am a handsome gentleman, sporting suave savoir-faire. With that sort of talk, could you doubt it? How about this? The name is Bond; Thomas Bond. Indeed, the younger brother of Bond; James Bond. Same smooth charm, same classy player. You, fine human, may be familiar and call me Tommy.

 

 

Note the fine, almost black, custom-tailored suit with very subtle stripes. In the light of a chandelier, you will see them. In these fluorescents, you may not. But the subtle stripes are there – no flashy coarse gangster stripes for this gentleman. I am at home in palace or pub, with earls or mongers, cats or dogs, even a golden retriever. They are at home with me. I am smooth, charming, and quite mellow.

 

Unlike James, I am not ever raucous. I stand my ground, but I do not start fights. I understand both litter boxes and scratching posts. I am, as we Bond fellows sometimes say, quite close to perfect. You will, I expect, fall quite in love. I would likely fall back in love with you. I had a person once, but she lost her home. Still she made sure I got to my foster home and then here, where I expect you will find me. When you do, perhaps we will tango until dawn under that chandelier.  

 

Or, perhaps, we’ll just go to your home and play Pounce the Mouse. I have a green one – do you like it? Charcoal cat with subtle stripes – bright green mouse – could lead to an immortal still life painting, I think. Do you paint? Draw? Have more bright colored toys for me? Take some photographs. My classic face belongs on the cover of Vanity Fair or Esquire. Your handsome gentleman, with all his savoir-faire, is waiting. Please bring your car around, along with $100 for my ticket to the ball. The name is Tommy. The charm is smooth.
