About Sandra Dee | |

|
Consider me a fine and proud tribute to the original Sandra Dee. Consider me also to be myself – which I am. I am as pretty as she was, but I create myself, something she never had much chance to do. So happy to be a 21st century woman! Much more likely to ride the surfboard than follow the surfer boys. Watch me surf this small rug….
This Sandra Dee does not play the confused teenager; this one plays a CEO. This Sandra walks across a room in long, purposeful strides, holding her tail straight and tall, rather like a major in a military parade. I claim territory. I sniff it – and it is mine. I investigate objects and places. If I like them, I claim them. If I do not, I move on. No, I wouldn’t be a “liberated woman”. You see, I have never been unfree. But I am so hoping to merge my free self into your circle of friends and family. We CEOs know that it’s lonely at the top.
It’s hard to admit it, but this fine, proud woman is just a wee bit lonely. Maybe a lot lonely. She’d rather like a little people pampering. A little petting of my soft calico fur, a little offering of sushi-grade tuna, a little admiring of my strength, my mind, and my quite stunning self. Why, I might even sit in your lap, you never know.
Would you have some territory that I might claim? Some little rugs, perhaps? One for a bed, one for a surfboard, and one more just because. See me look at you with wide cat eyes. The look means, “I’m not so tough, go ahead, give me a hug. I might like it.” OK, I know. I have excellent stripes and excellent patches and a memorable tail. Oh, and fine ears. It’s possible that I’m almost perfect – but I won’t be completely perfect without you. There, I said it.
So, call me a calico tabby – or call me a tabby calico. I am a fine, proud cat woman, honoring my namesake. Let me honor your circle. Please come by Feline Rescue, meet me, watch me, talk to me, pet me. Just $100 makes me forever yours – can hardly see a movie for $100 these days – much better to see me – Sandra Dee.
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
