I know – I have one of those names that makes you think you know me from somewhere – but you just can’t quite place me. Samuel Adams? No. Tom Jones? No. So, you say, who is this guy? Here’s who I am: http://samueljones.net/player/index.html. Now, make sure you have your sound and speakers on. Got it? See my picture in the upper left? What? He doesn’t look quite like a cat?
Well, OK, then, keep listening – but click on the button that says “Eudora’s Fable.” Go ahead. You’ll hear my song – “Shoes are for the Birds!” And quite a voice I have, too. OK – have we got that all squared away now? Good. Now that you know who I am, let’s talk about what I am.
I am, as they say, all tail and no cat. I am also friendly, charming, delightful, and interesting. But I’m working on growing into that excellent fluffed tail, which I could do much better if I had my own people to love me and help me. In real life, I admit, I squeak more than I sing, but I’m taking lessons for that, too. Self-improvement. Samuel Jones believes in self-improvement. Watch this little piece of self-help. Over I roll, make a few pilates moves, a little yoga action. Am I cute? Of course I’m cute.
I’m also not scared of much that I’ll admit to – large green snakes and lawn mowers would be two things I will admit to. You see, I’ve been working construction. Wandered into a construction company, and the people there hired me – and then they fed me. Had my very own hard hat. Also my own wrecking ball. Which was the issue. They were construction. I much preferred demolition. So the folks suggested I come to Feline Rescue and find me some people who could provide me with cat toys meant for demolition. Here I am!
If you’ve got the toys, I’ve got the time. How about it? I’m cute, I’m friendly, I’m musical. I ask you, good people, just one thing: Let me out of this kennel. Take me out. Take me home. I got out once, I did, and I gave some black-and-white guy twice my size a whomp. Not a serious whomp – but a whomp. Told you I’m not scared of much.
OK – I ask a second thing: Please bring $100. For just that $100, you’ll get to be the forever friends of Samuel Jones, the most interesting tail – and the cat that goes with the tail. Please do it.
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
