I’m here! I’m here! Notice me, lend me your arm – I wanna arm wrassle! I am young, sleek, sassy, athletic, and I’m gonna grow up to be an ocelot! Look at these fine spots! You betcha – Serena is gonna grow up to be an ocelot! Right now, however, I’m a brown tabby teenage house cat, and I’m looking for my forever home with people who like to play – as long as I’m in charge.

 

Serena is short for Serendipity because it was pure Serendipity that a wonderful human found me hungry and lost, circling a Wisconsin restaurant in search of food. So you don’t have to think, “Gee, she doesn’t look much like Serena Williams.” I wasn’t named for her. We do have in common that we’re both athletic and fast. But, frankly, I’m faster. Can’t do much with a tennis racket, but just watch me serve this lavender toy mouse with my bare claws. Wham! Off it goes. Wham! I catch it. Wham, Mouse!

 

I certainly have food now – and luck and fun and friends. Now, if I just had a real home….Here’s my pitch: I’m smart. I talk. I know lots of words – Mraw! Mew…Gehehee….Mo?...Mee! Whee! Wham! Mouse. Food. Love. I have spirit and soul and the most interesting mind. I purr. Let’s see – what else? You can cuddle me, and I will purr into your ear and give you the daintiest love bites.

 

Tell you what – I think the best thing for you to do is to come on over here to Feline Rescue and meet me, face to face, paws to paws, nose to nose. I just can’t do myself justice with only words and pictures. You should see and hold and pet and, above all, listen to Serena to believe she’s real. She’s real! She’s here! Might as well bring $100 with you because you are going to beg to take me home with you. We can arm wrassle. And you can watch me grow up to be an ocelot! I will! I will!
