People, People! Come right in and join the party. We are the hosts, and we are real brothers. I am Aaron; I talk. My brother Alex looks, explores, chews, goes under, goes over, and goes around. We’re not very old, but we are smart! Consider us about sophomores, probably at Macalester, because we have Macalester-type names, don’t you think?

 

People, People! I am Aaron. You won’t need ancestry.com to figure out that somebody Siamesey is in my family tree. I am the color of the perfect chocolate malt, one with lots and lots of ice cream. I’m told I have stunning blue eyes, an outstanding tail, and that I never stop moving. Why would I? Stopping is no fun at all. Not only am I as sweet as the perfect chocolate malt, I can – and will – purr like a lawn mower that needs a tune-up – loud! But much happier than an untuned mower. Yes!

 

“Alex, c’mon, speak up for yourself.”

 

“Sorry, I’m mixing tuna cocktails for these young ladies who came to our party.”

 

“Good excuse, right. I’ll admit those little calico snipes are pretty darn cute. But they’re tweenage snipes, and they’ve been wreaking havoc in our Man Cave! So stop dangling your sensuous black tail at them long enough to come out and tell the People how wonderful you are. You want a real home, don’t you?”

 

“Don’t worry, girls, I’ll be right back. Give me my tail, OK?”

 

People! People! Yes, do come in and join the party! I am Alex, and malted milk man here is my brother. I’ve done a better job of camouflaging that Siamesey ancestor, but watch the light. I am actually very dark brown, not black, rather like expensive dark chocolate – 60% pure. And the cheekbones. And the sleek nose. When Aaron and I throw a party, we have Fun! We have lots of toys. Actually, as far as I can tell, everything is a toy. People toes, people pens, people, shiny spools, that laser light thing. Toys, toys, toys. Man Toys in our Man Cave! What a life.

 

So, welcome to our party. How about welcoming us to your home? We’ll amuse you, entertain you, love on you. Aaron will purr. I will leave no rugs or blankies unturned. Our party girls are cute and calico. But we’re ready for People. We’re smart, and we’ve got it all figured out. You are bringing $200 to this party and taking us home. That’s how it has to be. “Auuggh! She’s grabbed my tail! You little punk….” Adopt us – Aaron and Alex – you’re under our spell!
