“Oh, goodie! I can tell – you have come in here just to see me! Goodie! I like people. I like even better people who are here to listen to me, watch me, play with me. I have stories to tell – come on over.”
First things first: I have both of my fine orange ears, and I intend to keep them. I’m not at all moody or morose. I’m a pretty happy sort of squared away guy who can entertain myself and my people if I just had a home in which to do so. I had some people once, but they just up and disappeared. That white-and-black fellow behind me said, “Aliens probably got them. Took ‘em off to another universe.” A kind older woman let me live on her porch until I could come here to find you. I’m going to find you, too!
Why am I called Van Gogh? Well, what do you think? Here’s a handsome, long-legged orange tabby with what appears to be a splash of white paint right across his nose. And another splash on his tail. Not much explanation for that other than the fact that I got quite carried away with my art – and slopped some of the paint on myself. At least, it’s white paint. What if it had been purple paint? Whoa!
So, here I am, striding and exploring, checking out the world. I went and looked out the window. I saw a bus! I saw a girl! Pretty cool. I’ve got genuine cat curiosity. What have you got to share with a curious cat? A window or two with a place I can sit? Very cool.
I’m, as they say, a mellow fellow. I’m gentle. You may pick me up and carry me, but please don’t drool on the fur. It’s very good fur, despite the paint incident. I’d much rather sniff than fight, as you’ve probably noticed. Shoes, toys, corners, other cats – sniff them up and understand them. Van Gogh does this, and he is pleased.
How about this? I’m waiting to find you, and you’re hoping to find me. How about you come on over with just $100? And you say, “Oh goodie! I’ve found Van Gogh! He’s my cat!” Very cool. Cooler than munchies even.
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
