Have you ever found yourself just totally in love with a slightly odd Little Old Lady? You are about to have that experience!
“I am about as Little as Little gets. I am tiny. I am a mini-kitty. And, yes I’m Older, not a kitten, despite my size. And I certainly am a Lady. I am so Little Old Lady that, if I had a crochet hook and my eyesight were better, I would whip you up an antimacassar. And, if you don’t know what that is, you are likely younger than I am. I don’t mind as long as you have a lap for a mini-kitty!”
“I’m told that I was found in a park down by the river, looking just scruffy enough that a kind person said, ‘Honey, you’d better come with me to Feline Rescue.’ I was feeling rather scruffy by that time, too. I’d had a home, I know that, but I’d been alone long enough to know that I needed a new one. I do hope it’s yours!”
I am sweet and kind. I really do love laps, and I fit so well in any good person’s lap. When I’m all fitted in, I’ll purr for you. I’ll purr for me, too. Somewhere in my family tree – maybe even Mom – is a Siamese who gave me my soft colors. Somewhere else in my family tree – Dad? – is a tabby who provided my nicely striped tail.
I admit that I’m slightly odd. I like myself that way. As I mentioned, my eyes aren’t really great. I think I may have cataracts. But I see motion and shadows, and I don’t walk into walls. I use my nose a lot – curiosity can be expressed with all of one’s senses. Sniff this, sniff that. Go behind the chair and sniff. Stretch up and sniff. Not a bloodhound or a pointer. Just me – mini-kitty Siam.
When I don’t like something, you’ll hear my Tallulah Bankhead deep mini-voice. (If you don’t know who she is, yes, you’re probably younger than me.) When I do like something, you’ll hear my practiced purr – and, maybe, a wee snort!
Are you totally in love now? 2 – 3 minutes with Siam is usually all it takes. Then, it only takes $100 to take me home and offer me a lap. I know I’m adorable. Cuddle me – you’re rather adorable yourself.
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
