"Out of the night, when the full moon is bright, comes a horseman known as Zorro. This bold renegade carves a Z with his blade, a Z that stands for Zorro. Zorro, the cat so cunning and free. Zorro, who makes the sign of the Z." Well, OK, I messed with Disney's song a little, but, when you see me, you'll know why I carry the name of the Old California masked man dressed in black.
I'm almost larger than life with a long, long tail. A year or two ago, I was wandering around, a bit tired and terrified after some sad adventure, and walked up to a nice woman on Grand Avenue near Caffe d'Amore. I followed her, and she said, "Wonderful kitty, it's too cold for you out here," and brought me to the shelter. After a couple of weeks, I went home with a human, but - frankly - we just were not each other's kind of people. We agreed I should come back here and try again - so here I am.
I love people. I prefer people who give me lots of attention. Talk to me, and I will sing for you. And I do sing well. I especially like to rub human legs and stand up and put my front paws on them. I even like to be carried and, of course, to sit in laps. I'll follow you if you let me. I won't carve Zs in your furniture. Please, can we go home and talk? No more swordplay for this special guy. I'll give my sword - and the cape - to these good folks if you'll give them $100 and love me as much as I love you. I do.
