Handsome House Lion

I’ve seen lots of other cats – and around here, you don’t have to look very far to see lots of cats. But I’ve also seen myself reflected in mirrors and doors. And I tell you with great confidence, “I have never seen another cat-sized cat who looks so much like a lion as I.” I’m not lion-sized, of course, but I am lion-colored and lion-faced, and I am proud. A lion with pride. A pride of lions. Me – waiting to become your pride of one lion gentleman.

 

I’m actually much better than an original lion. I’m much smaller, so I don’t eat nearly as much. I have more colors – yellow, gold, burnt orange, a bit of flame, and a bit of white. And I’m totally mellow. I don’t roar. I do purr, especially if you pet me. Now that is good – secretly, even real lions want to be petted. Did you know that? Well, don’t try it. Pet me instead. I’ll purr. I’ll nuzzle your hand. I might sit in your lap when we get to know each other a little better. And, just in case you have a zebra at your house, I wouldn’t even think about eating it. Promise.  

I’m a mature fellow – not elderly, by any means – but mature. I had a wonderful home with a wonderful person, but she got sick and had to go live in some cat-disapproving place. I am sad, but I understand. She gave me her blessing to find a new home and a new person; would you bless me – and yourself – by becoming my new person?

 

I’m alert. I’m pretty smart, too. I study all the moving humans around here. I study all the other cats, too – especially if they’re moving in my direction. I say I am Sam McBurney, a Mayor, a King, a noble and regal fellow – and a serious love bug. Let me love on you. Study my expressive lion face. Let me study you. $100 sends me home with you – all my lion – ness, all my pride, all my cat guy love. How about now?
