“Come in, come in. I sing my song to you across this crowded room. If you hear me, you will see me, and you will be charmed. Come in, come in. I sing.” I am a young and handsome, good and sharp, black cat fellow, only about 10 months old. When I arrived here, I said, “I am still a kitten! Don’t you think I should have a suite in the Kitten Room?” See, there are some most charming young ladies in there. I talked my way in with them briefly, but then the humans said, “Sorry, you qualify as a cat. And you’ve been to the vet – so no cute lady kittens for you!”
Well, how about a cute human, then? How about a not cute loving human? I’m most lovey myself. Allow me to love on you. I sit in lap; I snug your arm. I slyly sneak a peek or two out the window. I slyly sneak another peak at a couple of young orange ladies in this room. Manolo is sharp. I am also mellow and remarkably calm for a young fellow who, despite the vet, has an eye for nice ladies.
I’m seeking your love and affection. I had an excellent human, but she became very ill. She said, “Find yourself a new person or two, I think. I will miss you and love you, but I’m too tired. Always be good, Manolo.” I am being good. I am being excellent. I am singing and charming and hoping. I am sad, but I shall be noble and carry on.
Manolo, you say. Why Manolo? You’ve heard, of course – surely – of Manolo Blahnik. Shoes? Fancy expensive high-heeled pointy-toed shoes? Well, it’s simple. Naturally I have pointy ears. It’s a cat thing. But I, Manolo, also have pointy feet! The perfect shape for Mr. Blahnik’s shoes! So….hence, Manolo – fine, young, calm, lovey, just about perfect black cat fellow. Singing my song to you across the room. Asking for you to bring just $100 and take me to our forever home. Why? Because I’m snuggy – and it’s cold outside – and I’m much less expensive than pointy-toed shoes!
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
