Bow graciously, my subjects, The Faerie Queene is here. I am, indeed, THE MOST HIGH, MIGHTIE and MAGNIFICENT EMPRESSE RENOWNED FOR PIETIE, VIRTUE, and all such things. Please understand, over 500 years ago, Edmund Spenser - Sir Edmund Spenser – wrote his famous poem. Just for me, the Queene.

Do not, pray thee, doubt this! I am called Tabitha, but I am still Sir Spenser’s Queene – “Goddesse heauenly bright, Mirrour of grace and Maiestie diuine, Great Lady of the greatest Isle…” Take note of this fine cloak, the delicate tortie tones that blend more finely than ermine, next to which royal purple velvet pales in comparison.

Look into my majestic eyes – all-seeing, all-knowing, all-charming and beyond beautiful. I do not enhance myself with eyeliner as some of these pretenders here and about do. My eyes are stunning – naturally stunning – because, do not thee doubt, I am the Queene.

My subjects, please hurry by and take me home to my realm. Is my throne at your home? It need not be gold nor silver nor encrusted with precious stones. It need only be a chair, a large soft pillow, a bed, a tapestry upon which Tabitha the Queene may rest her furry self and admire you, even as, of course, she admires herself – which she does.

When the air is not dry, Tabitha enjoys gentle human stroking of her fine cloak. When the air is dry, she asks, “Please, do not create disarray and noise by introducing electrical impulses into the fine fur.” She asks that you caress her forehead and her neck. If it pleases her Maiestie, she will purr.

It’s lonely being Queene – truth be told, I would very much prefer being loved by a good human or two. No Earls or Barons, I don’t think. Solid yeoman householders – the Queene would be pleased. The Queene will be so pleased when you arrive with 100 pounds – sorry, dollars – and restore me to the throne you’ve saved for me. I know you will. I am Tabitha. I am the Queene.

PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
