“I’m The Man! The Man! I’m The Man! I’m Black – very Black. I’m Big. Yes, I’m Beautiful. And, of course, in case you didn’t notice, I’m Irish! But you will notice Me. I am The Man.”
Irish is either the Chairman of the Board and CEO or a Five-Star General. Maybe he is both. He hasn’t quite decided. He knows, however, that he want to be Your Man – Your Cat. Your Guy Cat.Take a look at his very Black face – that’s a pure Guy face. A Guy with sleek shiny fur, just as shiny as the medals of the Five-Star General that he might be – but much, much softer. Do pet Irish – he loves people who pet him. He loves people.
Irish takes charge. Watch as he patrols the premises with his perfect military posture and confident step-step-step-step. “What’s this? A grey fellow with mule ears who fails to salute the passing general? What? And he dares hiss at me. Insubordination! Treason! Court martial that Cat! Uh, oh, Mr. Mule Ears is not impressed….”
Irish patrols on. The girls salute – and then they sigh, “My hero, my prince, he is so handsome.” Irish patrols every corner. He finds no enemies. He does find crunchies. And he finds a human.
“Oh, human! The CEO needs his chin scratched. Oh, human! The general would like to hug on you. Oh, human! I am Irish, and I’d like to be Your Man Cat. Do not be distracted by that annoying teenager next door. He wants to grab my tail. He will be sorry if he does. Oh, human! You need a Real Cat. Irish is a Real Cat!”
How about it? A sleek shiny fellow who had smarts enough to seek food in the back yard of a servant to the feline nation who brought me here to find You. “No, I wasn’t lost or stray! A general does not get lost. I was just moving on – moving on to find my forever home with you.” $100 should just about cover my stay at this hotel. How about it? Let’s march on.
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
